The LDR is a resistor that varies in resistance when
it catches light. The LDR is non-polarized so it can be
soldered in either direction.
Please make sure that you do not solder the LDR to
tight on the PCB but make sure that a small part of
its legs still stick out so that you can eventually
bend it in the direction of the LED.
