20.0 PMBUS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM
A Windows based program is available, enabling customers evaluating BLUEstreak to test the
PMBus functionality of individual modules or complete power systems.
This program is text based and runs on Windows 98 / XP/ Vista / 7. Figure 14 below shows a typical
screen shot.

To use this program a PC to I²C Adaptor is required and UNIPOWER recommends and can supply
the I2C2PC Adaptor detailed at
www.i2cchip.com/pdfs/i2c2pc.pdf
This adaptor provides both RS232 and USB connections to the host PC and requires an external
9-12VDC power supply when the RS232 interface is utilised.
The part number for the kit that includes this adaptor and the mating interface board detailed on
