Low Fog Generator
Overview

No need for dry ice, ice cubes or bottles of CO2
The Mystic Myst low fog cooler is a compressed gas refrigeration system that cools the
smoke output from a high volume smoke machine to temperatures reaching – 30
o
c.
The system contains a sealed coolant liquid that maintains the temperature for many
hours.
Operation
Turn on the mains supply to run the internal compressor; system can take 3 – 6 hours
to reach – 30
o
c if the machine is warm. Keep the machine operating continuously to
maintain a low fog. Before and after performances replace the 2 outlet caps and the
inlet cap to maintain the temperature of the internal coolant.
The digital thermometer displays the ambient air temperature and the internal
temperature of the coolant system.
The system incorporates a cooling fan that can be set to run when the machine is used
for long periods.
Connect the output from a large smoke machine to the centre inlet duct of the Mystic
Myst. Ensure that there is 30 – 50mm air cap between the smoke machine and the
inlet.
Dual smoke outputs are provided which the supplied ducting can be connected to,
enabling the smoke output to be accurately positioned. It is advised to keep the
ducting lengths as short as possible to avoid the smoke output heating before
emission.
Fluid
Only JEM B2 heavy fog fluid can be used with the Mystic Myst. The fluid is designed to
provide a thick smoke output which vaporises before any visible rising, improving
performance when the system is used with movement on stage.
