OPERATION

HEATING THE SLLEVE

� Open the sleeve heater cover.
� Open the windshield cover.
� Hold the left-ﬁber holder and open the cover of
the right-ﬁber holder.
� Open the cover of the left-ﬁber holder.
� Hold the both sides of the spliced ﬁber and remove
the ﬁber from the Swift KR�� carefully not to break.

REMOVING

THE SPLICED FIBER

� Move the center of sleeve to the splice point. Make sure the
strength member in the sleeve is downward.
� Put the sleeve to the center of the sleeve heater.
� Apply tension to the ﬁber downward so that the sleeve
heater cover is closed automatically.
� Press to start sleeve heating.
� The LED is turned oﬀ when sleeve heating is completed.
� Open the heater cover and remove the ﬁber. Do not touch
the sleeve and heater part immediately after heating.
� Check to ensure there is no bubble, fragments or dust
in the sleeve at all times.
