EXT GPS systems are designed to be complimentary for all control modes
of the system. Reference Appendix C-1 for further details related to this

10. Normal Operation
10.1 Electronic Flight Bag Application
Launch your GDL 90 compatible Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) application.
Configure your EFB Wi-Fi settings as necessary to access the echoUAT
device. In most applications, it will be automatically detected. If you do not
see a device connection for the echo, ping, or uAvionix, please contact
your EFB provider for additional support. ADS-B traffic and flight
information should begin streaming to the application when in range.
Depending on the proximity to the nearest ADS-B ground station, FIS-B
data (METARs, TAFs, TFRs, etc) may not be available while on the
ground.
Typical iOS application displaying ADS-B traffic from echoUAT is shown
below.
Altitude must be pre-flight cross-
checked by comparing the aircraft’s
altimeter with the GPS altitude displayed on the EFB application.
