Power Supply
The iSTAR eX panel uses a UL Recognized ESD, Model SPS 6.5 power supply
(12V, 6.5 amps).
Power Supply/Battery Switch-over Circuitry
This circuitry monitors the AC power input. If the AC power fails, the battery
will power the system.
Battery Charger Circuitry
A minimum of 0.5 amps is reserved for charging the battery.
Alarms, LEDs, and Battery (Standard Model with Power Supply and Battery)
The following alarms are sent to the GCM via the SPI interface.
See “Low Battery and AC Power Fail (Standard Power Supply Model)” on
page 4-9 for an explanation of how to configure the following alarms.
Power Failure Alarm
If the AC power fails, an AC power failure alarm is asserted.
Battery Low Alarm
When the battery capacity drops to one-third of total capacity for the 12 VDC,
17.2 Ah minimum capacity standby battery, a battery low alarm is asserted.
