10. Troubleshooting
Problems What you can do
No picture 
Check if the box is properly connected to the main power supply

Refer to the TV user manual for how to select the correct video input channel.

If you are connecting the box to TV using HDMI cable, check if your TV has a
valid HDCP key. Otherwise use AV cable instead.
The screen shows
‚No signal‛

Check if the antenna is properly connected to the set top box

If you are using an active antenna, check if you have already turned Antenna
Setting to
ON

Check the coverage of digital TV content signal in your area with the NBTC Call
center: 1200

If your location is far from the transmission tower, you may need to install a large
outdoor antenna for better reception.
No sound 
Check if the box has been put in mute

Check the current volume setting

Check if all the cables are connected properly

In case of movie playback, check if the audio stream in the movie file is
supported.

If the box does not support such audio stream, you can connect the box to
Home Theatre System or Amplifier that can decode the stream using the Coaxial
cable.
No picture, only sound 
Check if settings in Main Menu TV Setup corresponds to the specifications of
your TV as well as the connection cable that you use

Check if all the cables are connected properly
Remote control is not
working 
Make sure that the distance between remote control and the box is not more
than 10 meters and the angle is less than 60 degrees.

Check the batteries and replace them, if necessary.
The picture or sound
keeps breaking up 
Check the signal quality and strength by pressing INFO button 3 times

Move or rotate the antenna to the direction of signal source

If your location is far from the transmission tower, you may need to install a large
outdoor antenna for better reception.
The box stops
responding/playing 
Check the temperature of the set top box

Check if the box has good ventilation and nothing is blocking its ventilation holes

This can happen when the box is playing/recording large file. Unplug the box
from the outlet for 1-2 minutes, and turn the box on again afterwards.
