operation which ever of the six login names are used.
9.1 Retrieving or using local data.
At the first connection the unit will retrieve all the data from the unit and store them locally
on the PC for use by the application. On future connections between the PC and a unit
the application may offer the user the chance of using local data stored on the PC and
allow the user to select a valid file. In this mode the C3-540 can be loaded with
configurations stored on the PC.
Once either the local files are chosen or a loading from the unit is selected the application
will synchronise the PC and the unit so that the PC can display the current condition of the
unit to the user. This may take some time to perform.
9.2 General Navigation
Seven buttons are shown along the top right marked from Save All Settings to Logout.
The active button is shown Red. The four buttons
Slot, Layout, Canvas
and
Live
follow
the natural way to set up the unit from installation to use in a live environment. These will
be individually covered in the next four chapters.
9.3 Sending commands to the Unit
Once logged into the unit most commands are not communicated to the unit until the
Take
button is pressed in the bottom left of the screen. The
Undo
button reverses the last
action performed on the PC screen. The
Undo All
returns the configuration to that when
the last take was pressed. The
Take All
is used to send all data related to the screen
mode and should only be used if the user observes differences between the PC
representation and that of the actual output or if the unity complains of a synchronisation
failure.
