3. Select an unused PCI expansion slot for the card. For best results,
choose a slot that is not immediately next to another board, since
some boards emit signals that can interfere with the Montego. Also,
position the Montego card as far as possible away from the video card
and power supply!
4. Remove the selected expansion slot cover
by unscrewing its securing screw.
Save the screw to secure the Montego to the
chassis later.
5. Align the card’s gold-striped edge
connector with the selected PCI expansion
slot socket. With a gentle back-and-forth
rocking motion, press the Montego firmly
into the slot until it snaps in place.
6. Secure the Montego sound card to the
chassis with the expansion slot cover
screw you removed earlier.
