Operation
Removing the Aerator Head
The aerator head is removable for service, cleaning
and removing from traction unit to install other
attachments. To remove the aerator head from the
traction unit:
1.
Adjust the hydraulic cylinder so that the aerator
head starts to make contact with the ground
(taking weight off of the head).
2.
Pull the rear pin to disconnect the ball swivel
linkage from the aerator head.

3.
Lower the cylinder to release tension on the
chains and remove the two ball swivel chains
connected to the outer frame section.
4.
Pull the pin from the aerator front frame neck and
dismount the ball swivel from the pin by pulling
the neck downward. Lower front neck of the
aerator head.
5.
Carefully drive the traction unit away from
the aerator head by turning either left or right
(reference Figure 23).

Note:
The removable weights are heavy. Use
care when lifting them. Make sure that you can
hold them securely before lifting them. Use
caution when positioning your hands so that
you Do Not set them on your hands, fingers, or
feet. It is recommended to use two people when
removing weights.
Installing the Aerator Tine Head
1.
Pull the rear pin from the aerator head (reference
Figure 22).
2.
Position the traction unit so that the rear inside
tire lines up to the center of the aerator head.
Slowly start turning the traction unit over the
aerator head until the ball swivel in the neck of
the aerator is lined up.
3.
Lift the front neck of the aerator head. Pull the
pin from the aerator front frame neck and install
the pin to mount the ball swivel.
4.
Lower the cylinder and reinstall the two ball swivel
chains connected to the outer frame section.
5.
Install the rear pin under the traction unit.
