Behavior of the analog output
Output 2 is factory set as an analog output and can be used either as a 4…20 mA/0…20 mA
current output, a 0…10 V/0…5 V/1…6 V voltage output or as a switching output. The analog
output behaves as follows:

Retro-reflective mode sensors
When used as retro-reflective mode sensors, switching output 2 is switched on. A narrow
switching window is taught in within range of the reflector. The behavior of switching output 1
is inverted in relation to switching output 2.

IO-Link mode
In IO-Link mode, the device can be parameterized from a PC via IO-Link. In addition to the
manually adjustable functions, additional operating modes can be set via IO-Link.
Multiplex mode
In multiplex mode, up to 10 ultrasonic sensors of the same type may be operated at fixed inter-
vals one after the other without mutual feedback. A sensor is specified via IO-link as a master
sensor. The other connected sensors are set as slaves. Communication via IO-Link is not possible
during operation.
