Intended use
The liquid gas heater “Truma Combi” is a warm-air heater
with integrated hot water boiler (10 liter volume). This unit
was designed for installation in motor homes and caravans.
The equipment must not be installed in busses or vehicles for
transporting hazardous goods (vehicle classes M2 and M3).
If the appliance is to be installed in special vehicles, always
observe the respectively valid regulations.
Other forms of use are also possible after consultation
with Truma.
Approval
Directive 2004/78/EC stipulates that a safety shut-off device
is required if motor homes are being heated while driving.
The Truma gas pressure control systems SecuMotion /
MonoControl CS satisfy these requirements.
The installation of a safety shut-off device, such as e.g.
the gas pressure control system Truma SecuMotion /
MonoControl CS with the correct gas installation configura-
tion, means that the operation of a type-approved liquid gas
heating system when the vehicle is on the move is approved
throughout Europe in accordance with the EC Directive
2001/56/EC.
The safety shut-off device is also recommended for safety
reasons if caravans are being heated while driving.

Installation instructions
Regulations
Guarantee claims, warranty claims and acceptance of liability
will be ruled out in the event of the following:
– modifications to the unit (including accessories),
– modifications to the exhaust duct and the cowl,
– failure to use original Truma parts as
replacement parts and accessories,
– failure to follow the installation and operating instructions.
It also becomes illegal to use the appliance, and in some
countries this even makes it illegal to use the vehicle.
Installation instructions for motor vehicles
Installation in vehicles must accord with the technical and
administrative provisions of the individual country of use
(e.g. EN 1949). The national legislation and regulations (e.g.
DVGW Work Sheet G 607 for vehicles in Germany) must be
observed.
The relevant employer’s liability insurance association accident
prevention regulations must be observed in Germany for vehi-
cles used for commercial purposes (BGV D 34).
In other countries always observe the respectively valid
regulations.
More information on the regulations in the relevant destina-

Choice of location
The unit and its exhaust duct must always be installed so that
they are easy to access at all times for service work (e.g. gas
and water connection via a service flap, furniture doors etc.)
and are easy to remove and install.
The distance between the unit and surrounding furniture items
or vehicle components must be at least 10 mm at all sides.
The scope of delivery includes a second type plate (duplicate)
with removable bar code.
If the type plate on the heater is not visible after the heater
has been installed, the second type plate (duplicate) must be
affixed to the unit in a clearly visible location.
The duplicate must only be used in conjunction with the
original.

For evenly distributed heat ing of the vehicle, the heater should
be installed as near to the
centre
as possible, e.g. in a ward-
robe or in storage space with sufficient height. It is to be
installed in such a way that the air distribution ducts can be
routed with approximately the same lengths. Appropriate
openings must be present in the installation compartment so
that air can be drawn in – see relevant sections concerning
circulated air intake and warm air distribution.
