7.8.4 Current number of GPS satellites used in position and time fix calculations. The number
of satellites available depends on how long the time server has been up, the time of day
and the total amount of clear sky as seen from the GPS antenna. Because of the high
frequency of GPS radio signals, GPS antennas must have unobstructed line of sight
from the antenna to the satellite to receive data.
