(2) Detaching and refitting the SD separation pulley.

Procedure

1. Remove the SD paper feed unit.

(see 1-5-2)

2. Turn the SD paper feed unit inside out.
3. Remove the stop ring from the separa-

tion pulley axis.

4. Remove the spacer by pulling out from

the separation pulley axis.

*: Do not drop the set pin when you remove

the spacer.

5. Pull the set pin out from the torque lim-

iter.

6. Remove the torque limiter and SD sep-

aration pulley by pulling out while press-
ing the retard release lever.

7. Clean or replace the SD separation pul-

ley.

8. Refit the SD separation pulley to the

SD paper feed unit.

9. Refit the SD paper feed unit.
