Overview
The latest version of the GreenSmart DFC requires a positive connection between the pilot hood and the pilot
assembly for proper operation. The included E-Clip provides this connection. If the appliance being serviced
does not have an E-Clip, install the included E-Clip as shown below when replacing the DFC.
E-Clip Installation

Access the firebox and remove the burner (see
installation/owner’s manual for details).

Remove the pilot hood and place it aside.

Remove and discard the pilot hood clip. Needle-nose
pliers work well for this.

Replace the pilot hood.
5
Install the “E” clip as shown to the right.
