Activate a Configuration File

You can activate any of the configuration files present on the S4224, except for the

running-config

file,

which represents the currently active configuration.

Note

: the previous configuration will be completely replaced, potentially leading to loss of management

connectivity.

Note

: If the configuration changes IP settings, management connectivity may be lost.

1. Navigate to the

Maintenance

Configuration

Upload

menu path to display the Upload

Configuration page.

2. Select the configuration file to activate and click the

Activate Configuration

button. This will initiate

the process of completely replacing the existing configuration with that of the selected file.

The previous configuration will be completely replaced, potentially leading to loss of management

connectivity.

Note that the activated configuration file will not be saved to

startup-config

automatically.
