Description
The StaticAIRE IN1000 Ionizer is designed to effectively eliminate
localized static charges which exist in the work area. Pulse rate and
ion balance controls allow for effective calibration and adjustment of
the Ionizer to give optimum ion balance and decay output.
Unpacking and Inspection
We recommend careful examination of the carton and contents for
any damage. If the product is damaged maintain all packing mate-
rial and immediately notify carrier of a possible damage claim. Con-
tact Transforming Technologies for non-shipping damages.
Operation
The StaticAIRE IN1000 comes completely balanced and ready to
use.
1. Place IN1000 on a flat, level surface, 12” from area to be ionized.
2. Plug the IN1000 into any 120V AC (220V optional) electrical outlet.
3. Turn on/off switch to ON position.
Note
:
Keep effective area clear and free from obstructions of ion flow. Care should be exercised during handling
to prevent the unit from falling face down. The emitter pins will be damaged or broken if this happens.
Maintenance
The StaticAIRE IN1000 Ionizer was designed to be virtually maintenance free. The emitter points can be
cleaned when there is a visible accumulation of dirt. Generally this would be twice a year, depending on
the cleanliness level of the working environment.
1. Check the emitter points for dirt accumulation.
2. Be sure the unit is unplugged.
3. Wipe emitter point with a swab dampened in isopropyl alcohol.
4. The outside case may be wiped down with a soft damp cloth.
If your processing involves generation of excessive or considerable amounts of static charged particles,
you may want to clean the unit more frequently.
Calibration
The IN1000 is factory set to achieve a maximum balanced ion output in standard applications. To certify
calibration, we recommend a charge plate monitor, such as the Transforming Technologies 288B, to test
ion balance and positive/negative decay times. Compare these to the specifications to verify proper
working order of ionizer.
