Start-Up
4. Adjust high gas pressure reading (from manometer) to match firing rate
shown on unit nameplate first.
5. Refer to control valve adjustment instructions for setting high and low fire
gas pressure settings.On systems with pilot, the high fire setting must be
made before adjusting low fire. Adjust the high fire setting according to the
Maxitrol Valve Adjustment instructions. The high fire must not exceed the
pressure stated on the specification plate.
6. When adjusting low fire, there should be a continuous flame along the entire
burner length without any blowout spots. Main burner flame sensor must be
activated, if applicable. Burner must hold in low fire for approximately 10
seconds before modulating up.
7. Check pilot and main gas lines for leaks.
8. Main flame is now set. Ensure burner modulates.
9. Turn thermostat to the desired setting.
10. Cycle pilot and burner a number of times to ensure smooth light off.
11. Check flame signal with burner cycling through full firing range and burner
profile damper operation (if applicable).

Extended Shutdown
1. Set the HEAT-ON-OFF switch to the OFF position for 30-seconds, then turn the
FAN-ON-OFF switch to the OFF position.
2. Close all manual gas valves.
3. Open the main electrical disconnect switch.
Emergency Shutdown ONLY
1. Open the main electrical disconnect switch.
2. Close the main gas valve.
