GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
1. General description
Remote condensers with axial fans for outdoor installation, fully factory assembled and tested. The condenser can be
installed in a vertical position with horizontal air flow or, with the addition of appropriate brackets, in a horizontal position
with vertical air flow.
General description
Casing:
the CAP condensers, designed and optimized for operation with refrigerant R410A, are constructed with a self supporting
structure in embossed aluminium with excellent corrosion resistant characteristics.
Fan motor:
of the axial type, statically and dynamically balanced on two levels, with an innovative blade design built in die-cast
aluminium. The electric motor is of the outside-rotor type, IP54 class “F”, particularly suitable for phase cutting speed
regulation. Safety protection grilles fitted on the fans comply with safety standards and regulations.
Condensing Coil:
with large frontal area and upward arrangement of the fans for an efficient air distribution. Constructed of
copper tubes mechanically expanded onto aluminium fins. The internal surface of the tubes is made in such a way as to
increase turbulence of the refrigerant and therefore increase the exchange capacity equivalent to that of the air supply
produced.
Electrical installation:
general mains switch with protection grade IP54 located on the fan side of the unit, pressure transducer
and pre-wired speed regulator.
Fan speed pressure switch regulator
with protection grade IP55, for control of the exchange capacity of the condenser by
means of an electronic device sensitive to the supplied gas pressure which varies the speed of the fan motor maintaining
constant the condensation pressure down to an air temperature of -20°C. This also guarantees the noise level is extremely
limited during operation with external temperatures below the nominal, for example during the night.
Refrigeration connections for CAP units:
the connections are of the welded type arranged on one side of the unit for rapid and
safe connection to the tubing coming from the evaporating unit.

The condensers designed for 60 Hz operation can be powered by the internal unit in order to grant operation at 208V-230V with
a tolerance of +/-10%.
These condensers cannot be used in environments with acidic or aggressive atmospheres or where explosion proof properties
are required.

• Shut-off valves;
• Leg support kit;
• Manifold kit to make the unit single circuit.
Options available on request
Coil protection treatment for use in aggressive environments are available on request, specifically, pre-coating of the fins with
epoxy resin, cataphoresis treatment of the whole condenser or coil with copper tubing and fins.
Also available on request are versions with the condenser suitable for use in an external temperature down to -40°C with
refrigeration circuit and components optimized for such temperatures. This customized condenser features high-resilience
steel liquid receiver and flooding valve to control condensing temperature, both designed to fit within the overall dimensions of
the equipment which will be complete with kit of legs, mounted at the factory; in this case the phase cutting regulation device
is fitted in the indoor Air Conditioning unit.
