Indoor Unit Installation

The piping can be connected in the
five directions indicated by 1, 2, 3, 4
and 5 in Figure 4. When the piping is
connected in direction 3, 4 or 5 cut
along the piping groove in the side or
bottom of the front cover with a saw.

1. Installing the Wall Bracket

1. Install the wall bracket so that it

is level from side to side. If the
wall bracket is tilted, condensate
water will drip to the floor.

2. Install the wall bracket so that it

is strong enough to withstand a
weight of 50 kilograms or more.

3. Fasten the wall bracket to the

wall with 6 or more screws
through the holes near the outer
edge of the bracket.

4. Check to insure that there is no

rattle of the wall bracket against
the wall.

Caution

• Always cut the wall hole uniformly

and straight when the wall pipe is
not used. If the hold center is not
aligned, condensate leakage can
occur.

• If the wall pipe is not used, the

wiring cable connecting the indoor
and outdoor units may become
frayed and cause electric current
leakage to earth.

3. Forming the Indoor Drain

Hose and Refrigerant Pipes

1. For 3 Left piping. 4 Right piping,

5 Bottom piping: Perform.
“Indoor Unit Wiring” before
performing the following steps
3.2 through 3.6.

2. Wrap the pipes of the indoor unit

that are visible from the inside
with decorative tape (Figure 7).

3. Insert the indoor unit piping into

the wall hole and bind the drain
hose and pipe together with
vinyl tape (Figure 8).

2. Cutting the Hole in the Wall

for the Connecting Piping

1. Cut a 65 mm. diameter hole in

the wall at the desired position
shown in Figure 6.

2. Cut the hole so that the outside

end is lower (5-10 mm.) than the
inside end.

3. Cut the wall pipe length to match

the wall thickness, insert it into
an accessory wall cap, fasten the
cap with vinyl tape, and insert the
pipe through the wall hole. (Wall
pipe and wall cap are procured
at the site).

4. For 3 left piping and 4 right

piping, cut the hole sligthly lower
so that the condensate water will
flow freely.
