Unit Description

Unit Overview

Heat King Cargo Heaters are one-piece diesel powered heating units
designed for installation onto the front wall of trailers and intermodal
containers to provide freeze protection for temperature sensitive cargo. A
remote mounted HMI Controller operates the unit and displays unit
information. There are two Heat King models:

•

HK450 HO (High Output 36,000 BTU)

•

HK450 MAX (50,000 BTU)

O heat the cargo area by routing heated engine coolant through the

radiator coil. A blower in front of the coil transfers the heated air into the
cargo box.

X provides additional heating capacity by incorporating an

exhaust system heat exchanger. Engine coolant is routed through the heat
exchanger and then into the radiator coil. A blower in front of the coil
transfers the heated air into the cargo box.
