System board modules
Removing a system board module
To remove a system board module:
1.
Power off the server, and then detach all of the power cords from the power supplies.
2.
Remove the access panel (on page 29).
3.
Remove the system fan (on page 32).
4.
Remove the air baffle (on page 30).
5.
Remove the PCIe card (on page47) or the expander board (on page 50).
6.
Remove the OCP mezzanine card (on page 53).
7.
Remove the memory modules(on page 55).
8.
Remove the processors(on page 56).
9.
Disconnect the cables from the system board.
10.
Release the thumb screws securing the system board to the chassis.
11.
Hold the handles and slide the system board until the I/ O ports on the boardare clear of the slots on
the chassis.
12.
Remove the system board.
