4.2.3. Braking system
The spring brake is an electromagnetically actuated
single disc brake with two friction surfaces. The braking
force is provided by pressure springs. Braking torque is
generated when the system is switched off. Release is
electromagnetic.
The brake must be able to hold the rated load when the
power is switched off.
CAUTION:
The voltage of the brake coil must
necessarily match the operating voltage.
4.2.4. Lifting chain
Lifting chain wear must be measured from time to time.
4.2.5. Limit stop
CAUTION:
If the stop plate at the bottom of the
casing is defective, it must be replaced.
Check the screw connection at the end and the block
assembly and, if necessary, tighten to the recommended
torque. Guidance values in section 4.2.8.
4.2.6. Gear
The reducer gears are permanently lubricated. The
reducer casing must not be opened.
4.2.7. Friction coupling
The friction clutch is factory set at 125% of the maximum
working load.
4.2.8. Suspension pieces
All parts under static loads are considered to be load-
bearing parts. The bearing surfaces of swivelling
suspension pieces must be greased periodically.
