5. Release the arm of the locking bolt and
check that the axle of the control arm is
fixed in place by the pin.
The height of the control arm
can be adjusted to adapt to the
operator (see section 6.1).
5.4. Hoist installation
In order to avoid trapping or injury to
the operator due to unwanted
movement of the transport trolley, it
must be locked before installing the tirak
™
hoist.
1. Place the tirak
™ hoist on the underside of
the chassis, slightly offset to the left
(viewed from the front).
2. Slide the tirak
™ to the right (seen from the
front) until its rear part (drum housing) fits
into the clamping tab (fig. 15).
3. Place the 4 bolts through the rear of the
chassis, lining them up with the holes in
the tirak
™ hoist housing.
4. Place the 4 ring pins through the holes on
the bolts (fig. 16).
6. Use
6.1. Moving the tirak
™ hoist
1. Pull the arm of the locking bolt located on
the rear of the chassis and slide the control
arm up or down, depending on the
operator's preference, until the pin on the
locking bolt fits into one of the holes in the
control arm.
2. Firmly grasp the control arm from the rear
of the trolley and gently pull to tilt it slightly
towards the operator.
3. Pull the trolley to start moving.
Do not start moving it abruptly or
tilting the transport trolley too much
as the operator could be injured or
trapped if it falls.
6.2. Anchoring the tirak
™ Hoist
The tirak
™ transport trolley must
only be used as a means of transport.
Under no circumstances must it be
considered an anchor point.
Once the trolley is positioned in the required
location, the tirak
™ hoist must be attached to a
verified anchor point:
1. Thread an M16 bolt through the hole
provided for anchoring on the lower part of
the housing.
2. Insert an extension plate (fig. 17) or a
shackle, hook or carabiner onto the M16
bolt (none of these parts are supplied).
3. Tighten the bolt.

7. Inspection and maintenance
7.1. Before each use
Before starting any operation, the operator must
carry out a visual inspection of the device. Look
carefully for any damage to the chassis and
wheels.
If any of the following situations occur,
do not use the tirak
™ transport trolley:
1. Check that the wheels are properly
secured to the chassis with the locking bolt
pin correctly inserted into the hole in the
axle and the snap rings in place.
2. Check that the handle arm is properly
secured to the chassis with the locking bolt
pin correctly inserted into the hole in the
control arm.
3. Check the chassis for deformation at the
points where the tirak
™ hoist is attached.
4. Check that the bolt with hole and ring pin
are in good condition and in their working
positions.
