Mounting the POD w/Thule Rails
To use the Thule rail mounting method,
the vehicle
MUST have a roof rack that runs from front to back
on each side that is elevated from the roof in the
center of each side span
. The Thule rails mount
across the vehicle from side to side.
a) Place the Thule rails across the vehicle
putting the two spans approximately 41.5”
apart, center to center
b) Ensure power is removed
c) Route the control and RG6 cables through
the large round hole at the right rear of the
body of the POD
d) Connect the two RG6 and the one control
cable to the antenna. Ensure the water-tight
seals are in place and snug them down
against the RG6 connections on the antenna
e) Place the antenna inside the POD, if not pre-
installed
f) Place the POD on the Thule rails on the roof
of the vehicle mounting so the double hole
patterns span the Thule rails at both ends of
the antenna
g) Turn on power supply with Display unit
connected, and when READY screen
appears, press the “+” button on the
controller. Antenna will begin to move to the
vertical position.
h) Place the U bracket (shown above) around
the Thule rails and align with holes and put
button screws in place from the top-side
down. Do not tighten
i) Center unit on rails and make final
adjustments of the rails and POD assembly
j) Tighten the button head screws using a 5/32”
Allen wrench (supplied).
k) Tighten the Thule rails by adjusting the screw
mechanisms on each corner
l) Double-check all screws and Thule rails for
secure connection
m) Stow the antenna by pressing the “-“ button
on the control panel
n) When ready, place cover over POD securing
all fastening positions
NOTE: The stow height of your antenna has been
adjusted for optimum factory placement. The antenna
may extend slightly above the POD housing.
