8.1 Set position - function, command 0xA0
Risk of injury and damage to property by an actual value jump when the
Set Position function is performed!

The
Set Position
- function should only be performed when the
measuring system is at rest, otherwise the resulting actual value jump must
be permitted in the program and application!
The
Set Position
function is performed about the acyclic parameter data channel and is enabled if
the control byte X+4 is set to "0" (0x00) in the process output data, see chapter 6.5 on page 61. This
function is also available about the software button
Set Position
in the configuration software of
the IO-Link Master. To enter the preset value (Index 0x0041: Acyclical Preset Value) a corresponding
input field is displayed in the configuration software.
The
Set Position
function is used, in order to set the current position value of the measuring
system to the desired position value. The preset value must be within the measuring range. If an
invalid preset value is transmitted, the adjustment is not accepted. This circumstance is visually
displayed by the Device status LED = red, see chapter "Device status LED" on page 80.
The current position value is set to the parameter
“Index 0x0041: Acyclical Preset Value”, if the system
command with index = 0x0002 and command code = 0xA0 is performed or if the software button
Set Position
is clicked, also see chapter 7.9.1 on page 77.

8.2 Restore factory settings
– function, command 0x82
The
Restore factory settings
function is used to reset the device parameters to the factory
settings (default values unless otherwise specified). The restoring is performed if the system
command with index = 0x0002 and command code = 0x82 is performed or if the software button
Auslieferungszustand wiederherstellen
(Restore factory settings) is clicked.
When the function is performed also the parameter
Error count
(Index 0x0020),
Device status
(Index 0x0024) and
Detailed device status
(Index 0x0025) are reset.
