Using the Strata CS SoftPhone______________________________

The following sections provide instructions for starting and using the Strata CS SoftPhone.

Starting the Strata CS SoftPhone

To start the Strata CS SoftPhone, do the following:

When logging on to ViewPoint, click

Options

to expand the Login dialog box.

If the SoftPhone is defined as your external station (see “Defining the Strata CS
SoftPhone as your external station” on page F-3), simply enter your external station ID
under

Station ID

If not, click

Strata CS H.323 SoftPhone

. Your PC’s IP address displays in the dialog

box. If your PC has more than one IP address, you can select a preferred IP address, or
choose

Use best IP address

Click

Once selected as your Strata CS phone, Strata CS routes your incoming calls to the SoftPhone
at the selected IP address.
