(HDD) for nonvolatile storage of data and software.

DVD Super Multi
(±R DL) Drive
Some models are equipped with a full-size DVD
Super Multi (± R DL) drive module that allows
you to record data to rewritable CD/DVDs as well
as run CD/DVDs without using an adaptor. It
reads DVD-ROMs at maximum 8 speed and CD-
ROMs at maximum 24 speed. It writes CD-R at
up to 24 speed, CD-RW at up to 24 speed, DVD-
R at up to 8 speed, DVD-RW at up to 6 speed,
DVD-RAM at up to 5 speed, DVD+R at up to 8
speed, DVD+RW at up to 8 speed, DVD+R DL at
up to 6 speed and DVD-R DL at up to 6 speed.
