Chapter 4

Operating Basics

This chapter gives information on basic operations including using the pointing
devices, USB diskette drive, optical media drives, Sub LCD, audio/video controls,
the microphone, the internal modem, wireless communication, LAN, TOSHIBA
Remote Control and changing TOSHIBA Style Bay modules. It also provides tips
on caring for your computer, diskettes and CD/DVDs.

Pointing devices

Depending on the configuration, the computer is equipped with either a cPad or a
TouchPad. Refer to the appropriate section for details on operations.

Using the cPad

To use the cPad, touch and move your finger tip across it in the direction you want
the on-screen pointer to go.
