Hibernation mode

Hibernation mode 

Display modes

Fn

 + 

This hot key puts the computer into Hibernation mode. 

If Hibernation mode is enabled (the default) a 
message box is displayed by default to confirm the 
computer is going into Hibernation mode. The 
message box can be set so it doesn’t display.

If Hibernation mode is disabled, this hot key will 
not respond. For more information on Hibernation 
mode, see 

“Using Hibernation” on page 114

.

This hot key cycles through the power-on display options.

The display modes are:

Built-in display panel only

Built-in display panel and external monitor 
simultaneously

External monitor only

Built-in display panel and external video device 
simultaneously

External video device only

In order to use a simultaneous mode, you must set the 
resolution of the internal display panel to match the 
resolution of the external display device.
