Power Management
Using Hibernation mode (Windows 95 and Windows 98)

Double-clicking the icon for Windows 98 or Windows 95 displays
the Toshiba Time Remaining Meter.
Double-clicking the icon for Windows NT displays the Battery
Meter dialog box.
Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT all have Power
Management options that can be accessed through the Control
Panel. Windows 95 is accessed through the Power icon. Similarly,
Windows 98 is accessed through the Power Management icon
whereas Windows NT is accessed through the Power Saver icon.
Using Hibernation mode (Windows 95 and
Windows 98)
If your operating system is Windows 95 or Windows 98, you can
choose to use the Hibernation mode.
Unlike Suspend or Standby, which save your current document to
memory, Hibernation saves your document to the hard drive. By
default, Hibernation is enabled in Windows 95 and Windows 98.
To enable Hibernation in Windows 95:

Control Panel

double-click the
Power
Management
icon.

Select the Toshiba Power Extension tab.

Select
Enable Hibernate Support
.
To enable Hibernation in Windows 98:

From the Control Panel, double-click the
Power
icon.
