Setting up your computer

cover and make sure the memory module is seated properly, 
as described in step 5.

Connecting the modem

Your computer comes with a built-in V.90 56K modem

Locate the modem port on the right side of your computer.

Plug one end of the telephone cable (provided) into the port.

Connecting the internal modem

3

Connect the other end of the telephone cable to the jack of a 
standard voice-grade telephone line.

HINT: If you are using a telephone line at home, disable Call 
Waiting before you connect through the modem. Call 
Waiting interrupts transmission.
