5.2.11.
Lubrication circuit
Lubrication of lathe must be carried out in accordance with Manual instructions for lubrication.
Lubricating system
of single lathe units is mentioned below.
Lubrication
of headstock
( gear box, work spindle) is in the conception version of the SUA 125 NUMERIC lathe as an
integral part of the hydraulic circuit.
Headstock lubrication.
Lubricating oil - the hydraulic oil is supplied from the main branch of relief valve VP1 (fig. - Hydraulic chart) into two
blocks I and II of progressive distributors. From distributors the oil is conducted by twenty three pipes to the individuel
lubrication places i.e. bearings, gear transmissions, brake disks and shifters.
Ceck of headstock lubrication -
is automatic. Each block of progressive distributors has an own detector which reports the state change when one of pipes is
clogged. This state change is evaluated on the screen as „LUBRICATION FAILURE“ and simultaneously the spindle start
is locked.
Attention
(for operator)
In case of headstock lubrication failure dont intervene into machine operation. Check first of all the oil quantity in tank of
hydraulic unit and oil pressure. The elimination of lubrication failure must only be perform by authorized maintainer.
Longitudinal saddle, cross slide and ball circulating nut of longitudinal feed are oiled through the separate
lubricating set MKU 5 - KW 3 - 12001 VOGEL, INTZA or TRIBOTEC.
The lubricating intervals are set by the time switch placed in a lubricating set.
Lubricating oil should be refilled according to oil level in its tank.
Tailstock
Sliding guideways and nut of the tailstock sleeve are oil by means of a grease
gun.
Tailstock with power movement

The botton part of the worm gear box create the tank for oil. The worm runs in
oil bath and transfers oil to the worm wheel and from which oil runs down to the
bearings so that all points are well lubricated.
Filling of gear box with oil : through the filling hole 16.
Inspecting of oil level: the oil level indicator for the filling hole 16.
Oil draining: the outlet hole 16.
Guideways bed and surfaces.
The parts are lubricated continuously after each cleaning or, as required, with oil
directly from the oil can.
