1 Cover of ventilation opening
The ventilation adapter is available as an optional extra and replaces the cover of the
membrane. It is to be used in the following cases:
■
In cabins.
■
In closed compartments.
When installing the battery in a battery room with a ventilation system provided, or
in a well-ventilated room, the ventilation adapter is not needed.
5.5 Switching on and off of the Power 48-5000
5.5.1 Switching on the Power 48-5000
When operated with Torqeedo drive systems:
1 Set the Cruise motor's main switch to ON.
2 Switch the system on using the remote throttle, the On/Off switch, or the key
switch.
3 The system now requires approx. 15 seconds to start up.
4 In the event of a fault, switch off the system and wait about 15 seconds before
switching it on again.
When operating with other loads:
■
Switch on using the On/Off switch (separate item, accessory).
1. Switch the battery on using the button.
2. Then switch on the mechanical switch for the non-Torqeedo loads.
ADVICE
For two Power 48-5000 units connected in parallel, the Torqeedo Gateway Kit
2217-00 is required.
5.5.2 Switching off the Power 48-5000
1 Switch off using the remote throttle, the On/Off switch, or the key switch.
2 Then also switch off the main switch for the Cruise motor.
ADVICE
When the data cable is disconnected from the battery, the system will shut down
automatically.
