Material damage can result.
■
Do not use the tilt lock on the transom bracket to secure the tilted motor

■

ADVICE
While the boat is ashore, set

.
When towing the boat while the outboard is mounted, the motor should be tipped
completely downwards, as long as this is possible without the risk of ground contact
(take the effect of unlevel ground into account).
If the motor is tipped downwards and the risk of ground contact during the journey
cannot be excluded, then the outboard must be tipped upwards for transport. Do
not use the tilt lock on the transom bracket to secure the tipped motor. Use a suit-
able support, such as squared timbers, wooden beams, or similar to secure the shaft.
The tilt lock is used exclusively as a working aid, and is not suitable for use as a
transport securing device. When towing the boat, the seacock and the outboard
outlets must be closed. Comply with the applicable national regulations for towing
boats.
