Rotate tension rod to raise or lower pivot arm until
holes are aligned with selected height-of-cut bracket
holes in the cutting unit frame (

Remove the hairpin cotters and clevis pins securing
the damper links to the cutting unit brackets (
). Align the damper link holes with the selected
height-of-cut bracket holes in the cutting unit frame
(
), insert the clevis pins, and install the hairpin
cotters.
Important:
The damper link length should never
be adjusted. The length between the hole centers
should be 13.7 cm (5-3/8 inches).

Adjusting the Skids
The skids should be mounted in the lower position when
operating at heights of cut greater than 64 mm (2-1/2 inches)
and in the higher position when operating at heights of cut
lower than 64 mm (2-1/2 inches).
Note:
When the skids become worn, you can switch the skid
to the opposite sides of the mower, flipping them over. This
will allow you to use the skids longer before replacing them.
