Operating Tips

Do not cut material larger than 7.6 cm (3 inches)
in diameter.

To reverse the direction that the blades rotate,
reverse the flow of hydraulics.

Engage the hydraulics with the throttle at L

OW

I

DLE

. When the blades rotate smoothly, increase

the throttle to H

IGH IDLE

.

Important:

Do not cut material until the blades

rotate smoothly.

If the blades slow under load, decrease the traction
speed or cut less material to maintain blade speed.

For cutting tall grass and heavy vegetation, raise
the front skid plates 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 inches)
and the back of the cutting deck 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3
inches) above the ground to allow material to exit
the cutting deck more easily.

WARNING

Tilting the brush cutter at an excessive
increases the risk of debris thrown at you
or bystanders.

Do not tilt the brush cutter higher than
recommended.

For cutting large brush and small trees with a
diameter up to 7.6 cm (3 inches), lower the back
of the cutting deck to or near the ground and raise
the front to 30 to 61 cm (12 to 24 inches) above
the ground. Drive slowly.

– You can use the attachment to bend over small

trees. The blades will cut the tree as it bends
the tree over.

– To mulch the tree, raise the front and lower the

back of the cutting unit, then drive forward over
the tree. To mulch further, lower the front of the
cutting unit to the ground and back up over the
tree. Repeat as necessary.
