Installing the Air Cleaner Assembly

1. If removed, install the air cleaner components; refer to

IMPORTANT

Any leaks in the air filter system will cause serious engine damage.
Make sure that all air cleaner components are in good condition and
are properly secured during assembly.

2. Inspect the filter for damage. Check the sealing end of the filter. Do not

install the damaged filter.

3. Insert the filter properly into the air cleaner body. Make sure that the filter is

sealed properly by applying pressure to outer rim of filter when installing. Do
not press a flexible center of the filter; refer to

.

4. Install the cover and secure with latches. Make sure that the cover is

positioned with TOP side up.

5. After air cleaner has been properly installed, lower and secure hood.
