Controls

Emergency Stop

The following occurs when you operate the emergency stop:

All cutting unit drives are disengaged.

All cutting unit lift arms are hydraulically locked at the
position they were in when the emergency stop button
was pressed. The lift arms will remain in this position
supported solely by the hydraulic system.

The electrical control system is disabled.

Important:

If any of these functions do not happen,

consult your Authorized Toro Distributor before using
the machine.

WARNING

If you do not lower the cutting units to the ground
and disengage the PTO, someone could be
seriously injured.

Lower the cutting units to the ground, and
disengage the PTO.

Override Lift Control

Push the override lift control away to lower all cutting units
simultaneously. Pull it backward to raise the cutting units
simultaneously.

Note:

This function will only operate on cutting units where

the individual control switches are in the down/cut position.

The cutting unit drive disengages quickly when the override
control switch is operated to raise the cutting units, or moved

to the neutral (N) position. The cutting unit drive engages
when the cutting unit is approximately 300 to 400 mm
(11-13/16 to 15-11/16 inches) above ground level when the
override switch is operated to lower the cutting units.

Lift/Lower Control Switches

Push the lift/lower control switches away to lower the
cutting units independently. The cutting unit drive engages
approximately 300 to 400 mm (11-13/16 to 15-11/16 inches)
above ground level. Pull the lift/lower control switches
backward to raise the cutting units independently.

Note:

The lift lower control switches will only operate when

the override lift control is in the down/cut position.

Cutter Rotation Control

Push the cutter rotation control away to drive the cutting units
in the forward rotation. Pull the cutter rotation control back
and hold it to drive the cutting units in the reverse rotation.
The reverse setting is intended for cutting unit blockage
removal only and should not be used for backlapping.

Note:

The cutter rotation control operates only when the

override lift control is in the down/cut position. Operate
it only when the override lift control is in the down/cut
position.

To disengage drive to all cutting units, move the cutter
rotation control to the Off position, or move the override lift
control to the Neutral (N) position, and/or disengage the
tractor PTO. In an emergency, operate the emergency stop
button.
