Storage Safety
•
Shut off the engine, remove the key (if equipped),
and wait for all movement to stop before you leave
the operator’s position. Allow the machine to cool
before adjusting, servicing, cleaning, or storing it.

1.
On the last refueling of the year, add fuel
stabilizer to the fuel as directed by the engine
manufacturer.
2.
Run the machine until the engine shuts off from
running out of fuel.
3.
Start the engine again and allow it to run until
it shuts off. When you can no longer start the
engine, the fuel system is empty.
4.
Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
5.
Remove the spark plug, add 30 ml (1 fl oz)
of oil through the spark-plug hole, and pull
the recoil-starter grip slowly several times to
distribute oil throughout the cylinder.
6.
Install the spark plug and torque it to 20 N∙m (15
ft-lb).
7.
Check the cutting disk for wear or damage. If
the cutting disk is damaged or the trim line is
worn, replace it.
8.
Tighten all nuts, bolts, and screws.
9.
Store the machine in a cool, clean, dry place.
