2 PREPARATION FOR MEASUREMENT
PROCEDURE: Centering with the laser plummet

Set up the tripod and affix the instrument on the tripod
head.

to power on

The circular level is displayed on the screen.

Press {F1} to display observation screen.

to display star key menu, and then press

The laser plummet beam will be emitted from the bottom
of the instrument.

Use

to adjust the brightness of the laser.

Adjust the levelling foot screws to align the laser beam
with the center the survey point.

to turn the laser plummet off.

Continue to the levelling procedure.

Visibility of the laser spot may be affected when operating in direct sunlight. In this event, provide
shade for the survey point.
