Loosen the spring nut to release the preload

on the shock spring.

Loosen the spring nut to release the preload

on the shock spring.

With a hammer lightly tap on the shock cap
to release it.

Use the Tomcar special shock holding tool
TM50500

Place the shock with the holder in the vice.

Using a wrench loosen the shock cap, (Do
not unscrew completely off).
