11. Loosen the band clamp and remove the
upper radiator hose. Use caution, as there
may be residual coolant in the radiator hose.
Plug open hoses and radiator to prevent
spillage or contamination of the cooling
system.

12. Loosen the band clamp and remove the fuel
supply line at the engine mounted fuel pump.
13. Loosen the band clamp and remove the fuel
return line at the engine mounted fuel filter
block. Plug both fuel lines, remove the ties
holding them to the frame, and route out of
the way.
14. Disconnect and label all wires and battery
cable from the rear of the engine. This
should include the main battery cable, fuel
solenoid wire, and wiring for the glow plug
timer.
15. Loosen the band clamp and remove the
vacuum line from the fitting at the bottom of
the vacuum pump housing. After removing
the bolts for the “P” clamps, move the wires
and vacuum line out of the way for engine
removal.
