Refit the cam wheel in position under the 
sender and tighten the Allen bolt (1). 

6.

 

Refit the grease nipple (2). 

7.

 

Refit the final drive nut (3) using the special 
Tomcar wrench TM50190. 

8.

 

Hook up the transmission shift linkage. 
 
Note : Follow the following procedure to  

verify shift linkage adjustment is correct. 
 

 

 
Make sure the shift lever is in neutral and start 
the engine. With the engine idling slowly move 
the shifter from neutral towards high but do not 
put shifter all the way in high. 

 
 Pay close attention to the point when the gears 
just start to engage and look to see where the 
lever is positioned on the shift plate (A). This 
position is important. Perform this process a few 

times if needed.  
 
 
 
 

Perform this same process for the neutral to low 
range position and pay close attention to when 
the gears start to engage (B).  
 
The gear engagement point from neutral to high 

needs to be the same distance as the gear 
engagement point from neutral to low. 
 
 
 
 

 
 Adjust the shift rod, via the access hole 
between the seats,  as needed until these shift
