Using loctite, insert the 8mm hex plug. Do not 
over tighten this plug. 

Using loctite, insert the 8mm hex plug. Do not 
over tighten this plug. 

 

Apply a thin coat of High Temperature RVT 
Silicone to the mating surfaces of the 
transmission case and put the case halves back 
together. Install the special case bolts with 
11mm heads into the top and bottom bolt holes 

and tighten to hold the case closed. 

 

Install the Key onto the shift drum shaft. Rotate 

the shift drum shaft through its range of motion 
checking for engagement in all the gears. It may 
be necessary to turn the long CVT shaft to allow 
the gears to mesh and release. If the 
transmission works properly, you may install the 
remainder of the case bolts minus the 3 for the 

shifter bracket. 

 

Install the shifter bracket. Use loctite on the 4 
small bolts on the left side of the case then install 
the three remaining case bolts. 

 

Fit the gear selector sprocket onto the shift drum 
shaft and bolt it in place.
