Change trim tab angle a little for each
te
s t run and repeat the proce ss s everal
time s until the be s t po s ition i s found.

The trim tab al s o act s a s an anode to
prevent electrolytic corro s ion. Therefore
do not paint or grea s e thi s part.

After adju s tment s ecurely tighten the
trim tab fixing bolt.

Check for loo s ene ss of the bolt and the
trim tab at regular interval s .
Due to corro s ion, the trim tab will wear
down over time.

Inappropriate adjustment of trim tab
could cause steering difficulty. After
installing or readjusting trim tab, check
if steering load is even.

Tighten trim tab bolt to specified torque.

Be sure that outboard motor is secured
to transom or service stand, or acciden-
tal drop or fall of outboard motor could
lead to severe personal injury.

Be sure to lock outboard motor if it is
tilted up, or accidental fall of outboard
motor could lead to severe personal
injury.

Do not go under outboard motor tilted
up and locked, or accidental fall of out-
board motor could lead to severe per-
sonal injury.
Steering load can be adju s ted by turning
the s teering adju s t bolt on the Swivel
Bracket.

Turn counter-clockwi s e to decrea s e the
load
