OPERATION

Tiller Handle Type

2. Turn the ignition switch key to the 

OFF position to stop the engine. In 

the event that the engine does not 

stop when the ignition switch key 

is turned to the OFF position, pull 

the emergency stop switch clip out 

of the emergency stop switch by 

pulling the emergency stop switch 

lanyard (p. 60).

3. When the boat is not in use, remove 

and store the ignition switch key 

and the emergency stop switch clip 

and lanyard. If you are using a 

portable fuel tank, disconnect the 

fuel hose if you will be storing or 

transporting the outboard motor.
