4. If the ECO Kettle is accidentally switched on when the Boiling Chamber
is empty the thermostat will automatically shut off to prevent the ECO
Kettle from overheating. If this situation occurs, unplug the Power Base
and remove the ECO Kettle from the Power Base. Allow the ECO Kettle
to cool before refilling from either the Reservoir or the tap.
Helpful Hints
1. If you have chosen not to boil all of the water in the ECO kettle and you
have unused water in the Reservoir, the quantity of water being boiled
can be increased at any time by depressing the Valve Button.
. Unused water remaining in the reservoir is available to use next time
— saving water, time and energy!
3. Top up the ECO Kettle to the maximum level from time to time as
necessary so that your ECO Kettle is always ready to boil the exact
amount of water you require.
4. To ensure the water in your ECO kettle does not get stale, start each day
by discarding any remaining water and refilling with fresh cool water.
CARE AND CLEANING
Removing/Replacing the Aquascreen
®
Filter
To remove the Aquascreen
®
Filter, allow the ECO Kettle to cool completely
and with your forefinger in the spout, gently pull the Filter up and out of the
ECO Kettle. Clean by placing under running water. Slide the Filter back into
the Filter holder.
Descaling
Under normal use, a deposit of scale may form on the inside of the kettle. Scale
which has accumulated inside the Kettle can be removed by boiling equal parts
of white vinegar and water. Once the mixture has boiled, allow mixture to stand
overnight. Empty out mixture and fill Kettle to the MAX level with fresh water.
Boil the full kettle of water. Discard. For heavy scale build-up, repeat this process.
You may also use a commercially prepared descaler that is safe for plastic kettles.
