MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
MAINTENANCE
The heat pump is an advanced piece of equipment with
high automation. The reliability and operation life of the
heat pump can be guaranteed and even increased by
regular inspection and effective maintenance.
The external water filter should be cleaned regularly to
ensure the cleanness of the water in the system and avoid
damage caused by a blockage.
All protective settings have been factory set, please refrain
from adjusting these settings.
Regular inspection is required of the power source and
main components wiring. Loose connections and faulty
electric components should be repaired immediately.
The water level control system should be periodically
checked & maintained to ensure correct water tank level.
Any relief valves, expansion tanks or air discharge devices
also need to be checked regularly to avoid air entering the
system and system overpressure.
Check the water pump and valves for proper operation and
any leaks.
Keep the surroundings of the heat pump dry, clean and
ventilated. Regularly clean the evaporator (fan forced fin
heat exchanger) to keep high heat exchanging efficiency.
Check for dirt or oil on the inside pipe connectors and
refrigerant service ports. Ensure there isn’t refrigerant
leakage using appropriate detector.
Before stopping the heat pump for a long time, drain out
all water in the heat exchanger and water pipes, shut off
the power supply, and cover appropriately. Fully inspect the
system before next operation.
Users should contact installer or seller if any error codes are
displayed on the heat pump controller.
Clean the heat pump water path in particular the
condenser (water heat-exchanger) with phosphoric acid
of 15% concentration within temperature of 50-60 deg
C. Run the circulation pump for 3 hours and then flush
with fresh water at least 3 times. Installing a normally
closed valve for cleaning and flushing is advised. Don’t use
corrosive washing liquid to clean the condenser.
Clean the inside of the water tank every three months and
according to local water quality.
