The saw stroke affects the cutting envelope and the time needed for a saw 

cycle.  
The lower limit of the saw stroke is fixed.
The upper limit of the saw stroke is set by the position of the upper limit 

switch, located in the saw base.

To adjust the saw stroke height:

1.  Disconnect power and air.
2.  Loosen the locking knob.
3.  Slide the upper limit switch along the track.
4.  Tighten the locking knob in its new position.

Ideal stroke height is as short as possible while still cutting the 

desired profile. 

The top cap working height is set by the position of the height adjustment 

rod.  

To adjust the top cap stroke height:

1.  Disconnect power and air.
2.  Loosen the large locking handle.
3.  Slide the height adjustment rod up or down.
4.  Tighten the large locking handle.

• 

Ideal top cap working height allows for 1 inch (25 mm) of 

clearance for the tallest material.
